Born in Longview, Texas, Christopher Glanton, MD, was a physician for the US Army Medical Center before joining San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group. He completed his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and now serves patients at the San Antonio Kidney Disease Center clinics in Boerne, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville.

Dr. Glanton, board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, is a nephrologist at San Antonio Kidney Disease Center and was previously the chief of nephrology at the US Air Force’s Wilford Hall Medical Center. In addition to his appointments at many local hospitals, Dr. Glanton is also the medical director of the DaVita dialysis units in Boerne and Kerrville.

He’s a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Society of Air Force Physicians. With a stellar local reputation, he was featured in San Antonio Magazine as a “Top Doc” in nephrology.

Dr. Glanton has a commitment to inspiring and educating others. He’s a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and he continues to study and publish research that improves patient care.

Dr. Glanton is an active member of the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and the organization’s bible study fellowship. He’s married with three children.
